Ramadan Mubarak, or Happy Ramadan! Ramadan marks the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. It is the holiest month of the year for Muslims. Regardless of faith, we can all celebrate the values of Ramadan–personal growth, helping those in need, and spending time with loved ones.

This year, Ramadan starts on April 1, 2022 and continues all the way to the first day of May. During Ramadan, you might see lots of crescent moon and star decorations hung up. The moon and star represent the start and end of Ramadan.

As educators, it is important to recognize all cultures to create an inclusive classroom. Which is why this Ramadan paper plate moon and star activity is the perfect art activity to do with your little ones! It requires minimal materials and is quick and easy to prep for! Since Ramadan lasts all month long, you can do this activity whenever you see fit!
