EarlyDay is the only talent marketplace for the early childhood education industry. We make it faster and easier for preschools and childcare centers to hire pre-screened, qualified educators. In just 1 year of operations we have become the go-to marketplace for preschool hiring in New York and Texas – and we are gearing up to expand nationwide thanks to our just-closed funding. We recently raised a Seed round from some of the best investors and strategic partners in the game and couldn’t be more excited to take EarlyDay to the next level.

We are a dynamic and passionate distributed team of start-up junkies, former teachers, moms, and dog dads. The executive team has scaled and exited a two-sided marketplace together before and are dedicated to making EarlyDay another success both for the team and the industry.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. EarlyDay is an early stage company focusing on reinventing hiring in the Early Childhood industry, based in the USA that will help transform our product from an MVP style product into a well-tested, reliable product and help drive new features and innovation in the space.

We have launched our first version of the product, and have paying users on both sides of the marketplace using our product to hire teachers, and teachers to find roles they are looking for.

A day on the job. You will:

• Participate in daily stand-ups to review progress and daily planning
• Develop and submit clean, well-structured code on our React projects
• Review and provide feedback on pull requests from other team members
• Provide consultation based on best practice techniques in the custom software development
• Provide consultation on complex projects and make recommendations regarding product and
• Have an ownership mentality and take pride in your work

Does this describe you?

• A minimum of 5 years of software development experience specifically using frontend frameworks such as React/Vue/Angular
• Remote work experience

• Integrate designs and wireframes within the application code
• Monitor interaction of users and convert them into insightful information
• Translate wireframes and designs into good quality code
• Optimize components to work seamlessly across different browsers and devices
• Develop responsive web-based UI‍

What You Can Expect:

• Backend is a Ruby on Rails API only project, some Rails experience is a bonus
